FAQ:
What is included in the fundraising support?
Fundraising support includes a 2-month targeted campaign to introduce winners to VentureBlick’s global network of over 300 investors, as well as other promotional activities such as newsletters and webinars. Although VentureBlick does not take equity in exchange for this support, a standard success fee applies – this will be formalised through a separate contract if the winning startup accepts the prize.
What is included in the Discovery Pro package?
The Discovery Pro package provides premium access to VentureBlick’s Discovery platform. This unlocks additional features that can help to enhance the visibility of a platform user, and facilitate connections with key stakeholders such as distributors, corporates, clinicians, and investors.
What is included in the medical validation report?
VentureBlick will gather insights from up to 10 clinicians and industry professionals in the VB Advisory Network, from up to 3 different markets. This is a custom evaluation of each winning innovation’s clinical viability and product-market fit, which will be compiled into a report for actionable insights.
What are the details of the design for manufacturing and prototyping credits?
The sponsor is JLK Technology, a Singapore-headquartered medical device contract manufacturer. These credits, valued at up to US$20,000, can be used for design and manufacturing consultancy services, or to offset prototype development costs with JLK Technology. Such support helps startups to develop prototypes or conduct small volume production runs.
This is only applicable for innovators with hardware, and a contract with JLK Technology will be drafted separately to define the scope of work.
What does Europe Market Access support include?
The package, valued at up to US$20,000, includes reimbursement and market entry assistance by Kalms Group, a Berlin-based market access consulting company for medical device and pharmaceutical companies to enter Europe. Winners who opt for this prize depending on their stage will be offered either:
64 hours of regulatory support for CE certification, including regulatory gap analysis and QMS-system support, tailored to company needs, or
A comprehensive market analysis and go-to-market strategy for Germany, covering case numbers, clinical guidelines, key opinion leaders, reimbursement, competition, clinical evidence, and an action plan, or
One half-day workshop addressing the above points with focus on Germany / Europe. This will help the company understand what they need to do.
A contract with Kalms Group will be drafted separately to define the scope of work.
