Project Brief
Chronic rhinosinusitis and other sinus-related conditions frequently require surgical intervention when medical therapy fails. Endoscopic sinus surgery relies on powered debriders; however, existing rigid instruments often limit access and precision in anatomically complex or revision cases, potentially increasing operative time and procedural difficulty.
Medicaretec has developed FlexDeb, a powered sinus debrider with a bendable blade, designed to improve access to hard-to-reach sinus regions while maintaining controlled tissue removal.
Project Overview
This discovery project aims to evaluate the clinical relevance, usability, and market fit of the FlexDeb bendable powered sinus debrider, and to inform its validation, regulatory, and go-to-market strategy in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
The project will assess:
Unmet clinical needs in sinus surgery
Relevance of blade-level flexibility in real-world practice
Adoption drivers and barriers
Pricing and value perception
Regulatory readiness and approval pathway considerations
