Despite this high burden, pressure-ulcer prevention in many settings still relies on traditional methods such as standard foam mattresses, manual patient repositioning schedules, and basic gel or foam cushions. These approaches often resulting in delayed pressure relief, uneven load distribution, and missed early warning signs of pressure ulcers

South Korea–based company addresses this with its proprietary Wave Movement Technology—a dynamic pressure redistribution system. This promotes blood circulation and prevents ulcer formation.

Project Overview

This project aims to evaluate the usability, clinical relevance, and market fit of Smart Cushion in in the Southeast market.

The solution enables:

Automatic pressure redistribution (Wave Movement)

Reduced need for manual repositioning

Stability: Form-fitting shape support

Continuous pressure & posture monitoring

AI-driven alerts & caregiver guidance

Advisors Needed:

Procurement Head: Experience in purchasing and technology adoption, particularly for geriatric or long-term patient care.

Nursing Home Clinician/Rehabilitation Home Expert: Experience in managing long-term patient care or rehabilitation environments for bed-bound or wheelchair-bound patients, with over 5 years of relevant experience. 

Industry Expert: Experience in commercialization, sales, partnerships, and go-to-market strategies for pressure redistribution products such as mattresses and cushions. 

Experience:

• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant professional experience

Work Required: Advisors will be provided with a detailed background document on the company and its flagship product, including its features, benefits, and the company’s vision.

Survey Completion: Experts will provide detailed feedback through a survey consisting of approximately 25-30 multiple-choice and open-ended questions focused on market potential, usability, and clinical impact.
